ISLAMABAD – The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) has lodged a complaint against Channel 92 for terminating the services of its senior reporter Faiz Paracha without assigning any reason.
The complaint was lodged by President RIUJ, Mubarak Zeb Khan.
PEMRA said Friday it referred the matter to its Council of Complaints for action under relevant laws.
Paracha, a defense correspondent at 92 News was asked to hand over his office ID card by the HR manager as he arrived at work one day last April. No reason was given and he was told to leave.
Paracha was with the channel for about seven months.
